Call to Action to Fight the Health Czar Bill
It Died But They’re Trying to Revive It. Don’t Let Them!

The actions of the SC Freedom Caucus ensured that the Health Czar bill (S 915) died at the end of the 2024 Legislative Session. Unfortunately, the Assembly has been called back in the hopes it can be resurrected and passed. This is called a sine die resolution, and the last time this rarely used procedure happened was over a decade ago. Leadership is very determined to get this passed, but Conservatives should oppose the bill because:
There has been no clear estimation of the cost to the tax payers
It would compel Sheriff’s to violate the Constitution and enforce mandates/quarantines created by an unelected bureaucrat
It would not result in any shrinking of government
It doesn’t include any language to protect the medical freedom of SC citizens
If you do not believe this bill will best serve South Carolinians, then please do the following before it’s set to come to the floor on June 5th:
Call your SC House and Senate Representative and tell them you do NOT want S915-Health Czar Bill resurrected. You can find their contact information here.
Tell them to pass Tort Reform (S 533) instead, and bring much needed relief to small businesses that are being forced to close their doors due to rising costs.
